How long does it take to heat the water?

2–4 hours to reach 40°C with dry firewood. Time depends on wood moisture, ambient temperature, and whether you start with cold or pre-warmed water. Keep a steady fire for best results.

What type of wood is recommended?

Dry hardwood (oak, beech, ash) works best. Maximum 20% moisture content. Avoid softwoods and treated lumber, which produce excessive smoke and creosote buildup.

How to maintain a cast iron cauldron?

Empty and dry after each use. Apply food-grade linseed oil or mineral oil regularly (every 3–6 months) to protect against rust. Store under cover in winter if in harsh climates.

Does the cauldron require a building permit?

Usually not for garden use. However, regulations vary by location. For permanent installations or venues, consult your local building authority about fire safety and distance requirements.

What minimum space is needed?

3–4 m² for the cauldron itself. 8–12 m² is recommended for comfortable guest access, seating, and fire safety. Ensure at least 2 meters clearance from flammable materials.

Can I use the cauldron in winter?

Yes! Remember to empty and dry the cauldron thoroughly after each use in freezing temperatures to prevent ice damage. Winter bathing with contrast therapy is popular in Nordic countries.

What are delivery and installation options?

Due to weight (1200–1950 kg), delivery requires specialist heavy transport. We arrange white-glove delivery and site setup. Individual quote provided based on your location.
